About Us
Since 2000 until 2004 Monica Rodriguez has been the director of the Children’s Ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance of Atlanta.
Inspired by her budding ministry, with children’s summer camp the leaders of the C&MA Pastors Conference in Kissimmee, Florida invited Monica to share her experience and vision with them. The day of the conference, Sept 11, 2001, although a day of immense shock and sorrow, became a day of great stimulus to ministry for Monica.
As an architect, Monica understood the extent of the destruction the collapse of the Twin Towers brought about. But her eyes were also opened to the extent of the devastation of many children who experienced the loss of parent and family on that day. God used the tragedy of Sept 11 to impress upon Monica that from now on she was no longer to design homes, but rather build in the hearts of children.
From that day, Monica dedicated her entire life to the spiritual, mental and physical care and restoration of children’s lives. Hugging His Lambs Children’s Ministry was founded and incorporated in December 2004 as a non-profit, nondenominational organization based in Atlanta, GA, with the goal to care- for Love, educated and guide children, into strong spirit-filled, God- loving youth by providing programs and teaching for them.
Hugging His Lambs also provides coaching and training for leaders of participating churches and communities who are motivated and willing to contribute their time and effort to God’s Love, and support of this generation’s children and youth. In our world full of hate, sadness, and violence, Hugging His Lambs is motivated and inspired to touch lives of children and their families with the love and grace of God.
Through the growing ministry God is using Hugging His Lambs to construct hearts eternally renewed by His love, buildings that will never fall, crumble, or pass away.
